- Relationship with academia – As a spin-off of INESC TEC, we prioritize our relationship with academia and data science communities. LTPeers regularly teach classes and workshops in universities, and we offer internships to students every year. These initiatives not only strengthen the skills and knowledge of students and young professionals but also provide opportunities to connect with potential talent while challenging LTPeers to embrace different facets.
- Close alliance with data-science communities – We sponsor and participate in various data science events, such as Meetups, hackathons, and conferences, to provide opportunities for professionals and enthusiasts to network, learn, and collaborate. One of our most exciting initiatives is Eurekathon – a data science competition for students and junior data scientists to solve problems related to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our involvement in events like these fosters a stronger sense of community and encourages the sharing of knowledge and expertise.
- Pro-bono projects – Our commitment to giving back to the community extends beyond sponsoring and participating in events. We believe in using our expertise and resources to make a positive impact on society. As part of this commitment, we take on pro bono projects in the cultural and educational sector, working with social organizations to help them make more data-driven and informed decisions.
